Cindy and Nicole Scaglione (a mother daughter team) have dedicated their lives to serving others. For Cindy, her service began with her caring for her family including her brother Tim who has special needs. She and Nicole along with their family worked closely and developed authentic and meaningful experiences for those with special needs in the form of enrichment classes and summer camp early on and together they developed what is now the P.E.P. Center! Cindy has spent countless hours accumulating tools, materials and activities that create the meaningful activities that P.E.P. participants engage in on a daily basis.
For Nicole, her service began when she was a teenager, and even as a child wanting to become a teacher. As Nicole watched her mom care for others and become involved in serving those with developmental disabilities and quickly learned that her passion was to become a special education teacher. Nicole obtained her teaching certificate and her her master's degree in special education. She has also worked in different sectors of the developmental disabilities community such as social work and continues to advocate for those with special needs.
This 2021 school year brings Nicole to into her 10th year teaching where she will work with a local church/school to launch their special education services as well as in her daily work at the P.E.P. Center as the Chief Operating Officer.
See the Staff tab to learn about the backbone of the P.E.P. Center, our management team and our direct care support staff.
As a special education teacher, Nicole Scaglione has worked together with her mom Cindy to develop meaningful and authentic activities for participants. These activities are centered around employment and functional life skills.
Our mission is to provide a safe, life enriching environment for participants with special needs.
